The brainchild of a funny little Jew and funny little Gypsy, Marbella Offers something for all repressed minorities If you are looking for a Cultural Kooky approach to fusion cooking and festive food then Marbella has it. Built entirely on the promise of free cake for life and no budget what so ever, Marbella evolved into Manchester Creatives MCC.

Created from a Coffee Shop Conversation on the state of a City of Manchester and the activities of community members. Marbella hosted two events in the summer of 2008 that brought together the catalysts for what is now a city wide conversation on community participation, An Open Street Map event and the FutureSonic 'In Search of a Social'. led to Mapchester a collaborative wiki mapping Project and a Creative Arts Collective coming together with the aim of creating an open platform for community discussion on the city. After a series of meetings a new design space evolved for public creativity and an active community membership interested in collaborating and the sharing of ideas to develop strategies that could benefit the community still fuelled by free cake and coffee.

Manchester Creative Collectives (MCC) which started in March 2009, is a community interest company (CIC) Who support unrelated projects with similar goals relating to ecosystem regeneration, recycling healthy food initiatives and informal knowledge sharing. We see the need of a knowledge network for communities, co-operatives and corporations to collaborate on mutually beneficial projects and designs for the city all supported by local food networks and full stomachs.
